About Us
Hi!
We're Ben and Kristin Prime, and here is a little backstory:
It all started in upstate New York, where we met while at St. Lawrence University. Ben was working on a local farm, and helping start a farm-student outreach program, while Kristin spent her time riding horses and dreaming of one day having a farm of her own. Having obsessively spent time around farms since she was ten years old, Kristin’s early dreams centered around cows and life in agriculture. Ben- he thought he might want to be a cowboy.
When we met, one snowy night in December, our very first conversation was about cows—and not much has changed since then.
It didn't take us long to find out that we both had strong ties to Sutton, NH. Kristin having been born and raised there, and Ben having spent time in the town since the early 90s on his family's property.
In 2013 we were married, and three years later we found ourselves back in Sutton to start our family.
n 2019, we had cleared enough land to bring our first cows home. We purchased two Hereford cows, with the simple goal of growing a small herd to feed our family and a few friends. We never imagined where that decision would lead us.
Seven years, two kids, and thousands of fence posts later, that small beginning has grown into something bigger.
Today, Prime Farm is proud to provide our community with ethically raised beef, pasture-raised chicken, pure New Hampshire maple syrup, and Kristin’s personal favorite—our handcrafted tallow balms. What began as a way to nourish our own family has become a mission to provide wholesome, locally produced food and farm-made products to many others.
Through years of hard work, countless lessons learned, and a commitment to caring for our animals and the land, Prime Farm has become a trusted local source for ethically raised protein and farm-crafted goods.
Our mission is simple: to raise high-quality beef with care and integrity while supporting healthy land, healthy animals, and healthy families. We believe that cattle raised with attentive stewardship and respect for their well-being, produce exceptional beef and nourishing food you can feel good about serving at your table.
Thank you for supporting local agriculture, humanely raised livestock, and the small family farms that help sustain our communities. Your support means the world to us.
We look forward to getting to know you and serving your family for years to come.

Where is the Farm?
All around town! Our farm is located on Corporation Hill Road in North Sutton, NH. From May-November, however, our cows have the immense privilege of going to beautiful “summer camp” pastures around town thanks to our amazing land-owners who let our cows mow and fertilize their pastures : ) You will see the cows happily munching grass along Main Street in New London; and in Sutton they can be found tucked behind old stone walls on Hominy Pot road, Corporation Hill road, Baker Road and Muster Field Farm.
